Apple sics ISP on iPod touch hacker

On Sept 24th, word reached the iPod touch community that a hacker going by the name "Martyn" had gotten a hold of a broken iPod touch and was in the process of disecting the code in order to find a way to put 3rd party applications on Apple's newest product.
While "Martyn" didn't plan to release the code he had downloaded to the public, he did plan to upload it to a secure aread on his on website so that other hackers could make their own attempts to get inside the iPod touch.
Before "Martyn" was able to complete the upload of the files he'd retrieved of the iPod touch, his ISP appeared with a takedown notice and informed him that Apple had contacted his ISP to let them know that he'd be breaking copyright law if he uploaded the code to the internet. "Martyn" agreed to pull the page.
Apple obviously has a high priority for ensuring that the iPod touch cannot be hacked. It's clear that this won't be the last attempt to hack the iPod touch, but it's pretty amazing how quickly Apple was able to track down and stop this hacker's efforts. Certainly any further hacking efforts will have to take a more covert approach. Who knows....Apple could be watching YOU too.
